These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Localads App (our mobile application) and this website (together, the “Services”), operated by LOCAL ADS SDN. BHD. (Company No. 1241049-H), referred to in these Terms as “LocalAds”, “we”, “us” or “our”. By downloading, accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old to use LocalAds. By using the Services, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into these Terms.
To use certain features, you need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Please tell us straight away if you suspect any unauthorised use.
LocalAds is a platform that connects local users and businesses. Through the Services you can, among other things, post and browse listings, buy and sell items, claim and redeem vouchers, order from local stores, join the Partner programme, play games, and discover local events. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
Users are responsible for their own listings, items, prices, and transactions. LocalAds provides the platform but is generally not a party to the transactions between buyers and sellers. You agree to:
We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of items listed by users, or for the ability of users to complete a transaction.
Vouchers and deals are offered by participating merchants and are subject to each merchant’s own terms, validity periods and conditions. LocalAds is not responsible for a merchant’s failure to honour a voucher, but we want to know if something goes wrong — please contact us.
The Partner programme lets you earn by sharing and referring within the app. Earnings depend on your own activity and are not guaranteed. We may set, change or end programme rules, eligibility and rewards at any time. You are responsible for any taxes on income you earn.
Games in LocalAds are provided for entertainment. Where prizes are offered, they are subject to the specific rules shown at the time, including eligibility and how prizes are claimed. Prizes have no cash value unless expressly stated, and we reserve the right to verify eligibility before awarding any prize.
Payments made through the Services are processed by third-party payment providers. By making a payment, you agree to their terms as well. We do not store your full card or bank details.
When using LocalAds, you agree not to:
You keep ownership of the content you post (such as listings, photos and messages). By posting content, you grant LocalAds a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and use that content as needed to operate and promote the Services. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the rights to share it.
The LocalAds name, logo, app and website (excluding user content) are owned by LocalAds and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify or reuse them without our permission.
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any listing, deal or prize will meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LocalAds will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from transactions between users, your use of the Services, or your inability to use them.
You agree to indemnify and hold LocalAds harmless from any claims, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you breach these Terms or misuse the platform. You may stop using LocalAds and delete your account at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated through the app or our website. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
